Gregory Ko is a partner at Kastner Ko LLP, with expertise in employment, human rights, professional discipline, constitutional, and administrative law.
Greg represents clients in all areas of employment law, including in wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, discrimination, and harassment matters. He also acts for regulators and regulated professionals in investigations, disciplinary proceedings, and judicial review.
Greg has an extensive public interest litigation practice, with a focus on constitutional law, administrative law, and 2SLGBTQ rights. He also acts as an independent investigator in highly sensitive matters for a wide range of organizations, including universities, hospitals, school boards, and not-for-profits.
As an adjunct professor, Greg teaches at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in the areas of legal ethics and employment law. He is the past Chair of the Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic and the OBA’s Sexual and Gender Diversity Alliance (SAGDA).
Greg is a recipient of the Robert Muir Award for Mentorship (OBA), the Canadian Advocate Award (Start Proud), and has been recognized as a Rising Star (Lexpert), and a Precedent Setter (Precedent Magazine).
Greg graduated from the McGill Faculty of Law, and holds a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto. He practices in English and French, and speaks conversational Cantonese, Spanish, German, and Mandarin.
